Steps
1. Find the location in Google Maps
Open Google Maps and navigate to the exact location you want to use.
2. Select the exact spot
Left-click the location on the map. A small information card will appear at the bottom of the screen.
3. Open the location details
Click the blue coordinates displayed in the information card. This will open the location details panel on the left side of Google Maps.
4. Copy the Plus Code
In the location details panel, locate the Plus Code and copy it.
5. Add the location in Nowsta
In Nowsta:
Create a new location.
Paste the Plus Code into the Address field.
Save the location.
Nowsta will use the Plus Code to pinpoint the exact location.
Troubleshooting
I can't find the Plus Code
Make sure you've clicked the exact spot on the map, not an existing business or address.
If the location details panel doesn't display a Plus Code, try zooming in and selecting the location again.
The location isn't appearing correctly in Nowsta
Verify that you copied the entire Plus Code without any extra spaces.
Try copying and pasting the Plus Code again.
Important Notes
Plus Codes are generated by Google Maps and provide a precise location, even for places without a formal street address.
Be sure to select the exact point on the map to ensure workers are directed to the correct location.
Using Plus Codes can improve location accuracy for remote venues, parks, construction sites, and other areas without a traditional address.
Summary
If a location isn't easily found using a standard address, you can use a Google Maps Plus Code to create a custom location in Nowsta. Simply select the location in Google Maps, copy its Plus Code, and paste it into the Address field when creating a new location.
