Changing Colors in the Weekly View

You can set custom colors for shifts in the Weekly View to make positions easier to identify and help you spot scheduling patterns at a glance.

Turn on Custom Colors

Go to Weekly View.
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
Select Custom Colors to turn it on.

Once enabled, you can change the color of shifts directly from the schedule.

Change a Shift’s Color

Click the shift you want to update.
Next to the Position field, click the Color box.
Select the color you want.
Click Save.

For a regular, non-recurring shift, the color change is saved only to that individual shift.

Changing Colors for Recurring Shifts

If the shift was created as part of a recurring series, you’ll see additional Apply to options when saving your changes.

You can choose:

Only this shift — Changes the color only for the shift you’re currently editing.
This and following shifts — Changes the color for the current shift and future shifts in the same recurring series.

If you don’t see the Apply to options, the shift was most likely created as a regular, non-recurring shift. In that case, changes can only be saved to that individual shift.

How to Create a Recurring Shift

If you want to be able to update the current shift and future shifts together, create the shift as part of a recurring series.

When creating a new shift in Weekly View:

Enter the shift details, such as the worker, position, and time.
In the Apply to section, select the recurring option you want.
Save the shift.

Once the recurring series has been created, editing one of those shifts will display the additional Apply to options.

Turn Off Custom Colors

Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
Select Custom Colors again to turn it off.

Note: Turning off Custom Colors does not remove the colors you’ve already assigned to shifts. The saved colors will remain and will appear again if you turn Custom Colors back on.
