What details do I need to share with my employer?

Everything you need to know if you're looking to deposit in your USD account on nsave

Updated this week

There are two ways you can receive money into your USD account on nsave, and this will depend on how the sender/your employer is transferring funds. Each method will have slightly different details to share.

When to use ACH or SWIFT methods will depend on factors such as the sender's location and the type of transaction being executed.

When evaluating which transfer method to choose, consider the associated fees for ACH and SWIFT transfers as these can impact the cost-effectiveness of the transaction.

💡 A quick tip before you start: Always copy the details directly from your app to avoid typos. Incorrect details can delay or return the transfer.

1. ACH transfers (within the US):

  • Your full name

  • Bank name

  • Your account number

  • Your routing number

  • Ensure that incoming ACH transfers meet the $2 minimum deposit amount; transfers below this will fail to process.

Transfers above $1,900 may require additional documentation due to compliance requirements. There is no universal set threshold; each case is reviewed individually.

2. For SWIFT transfers (international):

Use IBAN/SWIFT details for international payments or when required for cross-border banking communication. Always confirm the accuracy of these details to avoid payment delays.

  • Your full name (exactly as shown in your nsave app)

  • Your IBAN

  • Your SWIFT/BIC code

Special Cases: Transfers Between nsave Accounts and Specific Platforms

  • nsave-to-nsave Transfers: Ensure you input the recipient’s exact account details as shown in their app to avoid errors. These details may include an IBAN.

  • Platforms like Elevate Pay or Payoneer: For USD transactions, provide ACH details when prompted for a US bank account. Use IBAN/SWIFT details for international transfers.

  • Personal Account Transfers: Ensure that payments are sent to you as an individual for services you provided personally, and that the sender name matches your registered nsave account details. Violating these conditions may lead to delays or reversals.

Troubleshooting Failed Transfers

  1. Transfer Amount Too Low: Transfers below $2 will fail (e.g., $1.11). Confirm the sender processes at least the minimum amount.

  2. Unsupported Banking Infrastructure: Transfers may fail if the sender's platform doesn’t support international banking or nsave accounts outside the US.
