Free Text nugits display text typed by users instead of pulling data from datasources. They allow you to add context, comments, and calls to action to your Stories.

Free Text nugits are listed under the 'Format & Free Text' drawer on the edit screen. They are:

  • Comment

  • Headline with Comment

  • Icon with Text

  • List

  • Table

  • Title with Logo

You can also add images using 'Image' and 'Multiple Image', and use 'Space' to add more space between nugits.

Add a Free Text nugit to a Story

  1. Select 'Visualisation' on the left toolbar of the edit screen. Click 'Format & Free Text'.

  2. Click and drag your chosen nugit to the right, directly into your story. (To learn about different nugits' functions, see Nugit Visualisation Gallery.)

  3. Fill in the nugit according to the instructions in its fields. Hover over it to access more settings from the grey toolbar at the top of the nugit.

  4. For image and multiple image nugits, click 'Upload' or drag in your image from your computer's files to add it to your report.

Edit a Free Text nugit

  1. From the edit screen, click on the text in the Free Text nugit you want to edit. You will immediately be able to edit it.

  2. Hover over the nugit to access more settings from the grey toolbar. These include text format, background colour, and visibility of avatars and titles.

The Table with Logo nugit uses the logo of the Group the Story is in. To upload a different image, use the Image or Multiple Image nugits.

TOP TIPS:

  • In the Icon with Text nugit, all icons are automatically the colour set as Colour 1 in your Story's theme. (To learn about themes, see How can I create / edit a Theme?)
