When you want to use data in a different group within an existing story structure, you can easily move the story to another group and add datasources from that group to your story.

If you'd like to keep your existing story in its original group and only move a copy to another group, you can duplicate your story and move the duplicate. Find out how to duplicate a story here.

If your story is in a Folder, remove it from the Folder before removing datasources and changing its group. Find out about Folders here.

Step-by-step: How to move a story to another group

1. In edit mode, click 'Select Datasources' under Setup Data. Untick the box next to Datasource name to deselect all sources added to your story.

2. When the datasources list under Select Datasources is empty, click the dropdown menu under Story Group.

3. From the listed groups in the dropdown menu, click the group you would like to move your story to.

4. After you have selected a story group, you will be able to see the sources in that group by clicking 'Select Datasources'. Add relevant sources to your story by ticking the box next to each datasource name.
