It’s time to start uploading your content. We recommend that you upload a sufficient amount of assets before publishing the apps if you have contract de Apps with us. This way, you avoid being rejected by the App Store Reviews-achieving a better experience for the end-user from the beginning is guaranteed. With that said, how much content is sufficient? The bare minimum is filling in all the pages, subpages (content sections), and playlists of your Nunchee OTT.

Follow the steps to start uploading content to your OTT:

  • Menu "Content > Content Manager > Posts or Video and Audio on Demand

Click on “Content Manager”.

Choose what kind of content you want to create. Nunchee supports different types of media assets.

POSTS

Create flexible articles with a combination of images, texts, and videos. In the ‘Post’ section, click on ‘Add a Post’ and start filling in the fields. You can adjust text fonts and styles, insert images, external links, Youtube videos, or Tweets by adding the URL from these services. I hope you like this feature! Its flexibility allows you to create cool articles, news, blogs, kitchen recipes, or whatever you’d like.

Important Note: Adding ‘tags’ and choosing a ‘category’ will enable you to create an automatic Playlist and associate them to a specific section of the app. You can add several categories to show the content in different sections of the app.

VIDEO AND AUDIO ON DEMAND

Do you want to add a video? Click on VOD and then choose an existing video from the library or upload one from your computer. Or instead, you can copy and paste the streaming URL if you hosted your videos outside of Nunchee Platform.

Live Streaming: If you are using an external video platform and have access to the streaming endpoint, you can copy and paste the URL directly onto Nunchee.

Nunchee tip: One of the coolest things about the Nunchee Platform is that you can create different business rules and limit your content for specific countries, types of products or users, languages, and among others. We called this feature “Access Groups”. Go to this section and create a new rule and value. Then, when creating any kind of content you can select the Access Group you want to have access to the content.

Important notice: Whenever you want to create a video or image asset, be sure to add all types of tags and categories to the asset. The search would be made quicker and easier when you want to reuse the asset again.

You can upload images and video to start to build your "Content", which is what we call when all the information are together (image, video with thumbnail, metadata, that will provide information about your content). It's what will be showing on your page:

METADATA

You need to fill up this information here:

Title: Title of your Content

Content Type: You can create a different type of content. Check IN HERE.

Description: A text that will show on your website about the video you are uploading.

Tags: Words that describe the content and what will be used to identify and separate the content when building "Playlists".

Categories: You can create a different type of category to organize your content. Check IN HERE.

VIDEO

After that, select one way to upload a video:

1 - Select from Library: If you previously uploaded a video in the menu "Media Library".

2 - Select from File: Uploading directly from a file from your computer.

3 - Add m3u8 or Embed Code: Uploading a video through a link or an Embed Code.

You have 3 options to upload videos on Nunchee:

1 - "Choose a file" to upload videos in the following formats:

  • .3gp

  • .avi

  • .mov

  • .mp4

  • .flv

  • .wmv

This way of uploading will count on your Storage quote in Nunchee.

2- In Video Type, select "Video" and enter an m3u8 URL. The structure of the link must be HLS standard and have an m3u8 extension. Its content needs to have SSL (HTTPS) as required by modern browsers to be reproduced.

This way of uploading will NOT count on your Storage quote in Nunchee, because it's is stored in another server.

3 - Embed Videos: You can upload embed video code. If you have other products in Nunchee (iOS, Android, or any Streaming boxes) it won't reproduce in those respective devices, only Web.

This way of uploading will NOT count on your Storage quote in Nunchee, because it's is stored in another server.

Video Thumbnail: For every video you upload, you may upload a Thumbnail that will show up on your website when someone clicks on the content.

IMAGES

Uploading an image is very similar. Have your content looking excellent by cropping and resizing the image according to each ratio aspect.

Every image uploaded to Nunchee will be stored immediately in the Library. You can always go back to the library to freely use the image again without the need of uploading it again.

Please, try to upload all the cuts (sizes) of every image.

1 - Select from Library: If you previously uploaded an image in the menu "Media Library".

2 - Select from File: Uploading directly from a file from your computer.

Here we will tell you what aspect ratio and resolution your images should have.

An image can appear in a variety of forms, a banner, an icon, a backdrop, a poster, a medium horizontal, a square, and a medium vertical.

There are several aspects to be taken into consideration:

OBS: Please, if you have a plan in Nunchee where you will have Apps (iOS, Android, mobile devices), please follow this order of uploading images into the content, so it can be seen without any problems on all devices:

1-1

Square

3-1

3-2

4-5

2-3

3-4

5-4

16-9

Backdrop

  1. We recommend the following aspect ratio and resolution for each type available.

Example:

A type is only available as long as an image is at least 25% of the previous figures. This is the minimum size for each type of image that could be uploaded.

For example, if you want to use the Backdrop type for an image, you will need to upload an image with a minimum size of 400x225 px. Otherwise, the type will not be available.

By default, Nunchee compresses all images uploaded to save you some space, but there are also some free online tools that could help to reduce the file size before uploading them to Nunchee such as https://tinyjpg.com/ and https://tinypng.com/.

Click on SAVE and that is it.
