If you've entered your Legal Business Name and Federal ID Number, but are still encountering issues verifying your business, please continue to read below for further assistance.
We've partnered with the IRS to conduct company verifications. IRS records may include a mix of business, owner, and organization names, often listing both owner and business names for LLCs. It's important that the business legal name and tax ID you provide exactly match those on any official documents issued by the IRS, with attention to case sensitivity. Please ensure all details are entered exactly as they appear.
CP 575 Form Example:
The business legal name, as displayed in the letter, is "AMERICAN APPLE PIE, INC." This is the name that should be used for IRS verification and other official purposes where the legal name of your business is required.
The Federal Tax ID Number/ Employer Identification Number (EIN) for the business in this example is 82-4180122.
If you have a new business, it may take the IRS up to 3-4 weeks to include your business details in their database. If this applies to your situation, please send an email to support@nuvo.com with any relevant IRS documents or your W-9 form attached. This will allow our support team to make another attempt at verifying your business once the necessary time has passed.
If you operate as a sole proprietor, please make sure to use your first and last name as your legal business name. Additionally, use your Social Security Number in place of a Federal ID Number. If you have not been assigned an EIN by the IRS, you can most likely consider yourself a sole proprietor.
Additional Information
Financial institutions, credit organizations, and payroll services might ask for your CP-575 document. The IRS issues this document just once, so if you misplace your CP-575, you have the option to contact the IRS by dialing 800-829-4933 to request a Letter 147-C instead.
If your information on the account matches your IRS-issued documentation, but it's still not matching, upload a copy of your IRS-issued documentation to the support@nuvo.com. We will check on our end to see if we can help verify it.
If you have other questions or continue having difficulty verifying your information, please feel free to contact Nuvo’s support team at support@nuvo.com.
