As of today, Octopods supports 15 channels, and we are always working towards supporting more channels as we go.

We support different channel categories for different usages, and we try to make them accessible to our customers in terms of plan organisation and pricing. Here is a peek into what that means.

Plans & Pricing

We have three plans, and each plan has its own set of supported channels – you can subscribe to all three plans at the same time if you need to.

Octopods Omnichannel

This is our first plan which includes up to 14 different channel types.

This plan supports all of our channels, except WhatsApp.

  • 49$ per month for your first channel
  • For every extra channel, it costs 39$ per month.
  • You are limited to 2,000 messages per month per channel
  • For every additional channel, you get an extra 2,000 messages per month
  • You can connect unlimited Intercom Workspaces

For example,

If you'd have two Twitter accounts and one Telegram account and you'd like to connect them to Intercom, then it will be:

49$ + ( 39$ x 2 ) = 127$ per month
You will also get 2,000 messages x 3 = 6,000 messages per month

If you exceed your messages per month limit, charge we 8$ per month for every additional 1,000 messages.

Octopods WhatsApp

This is our second plan, and it costs 349$ per month per WhatsApp number.
This plan supports the WhatsApp channel only.

  • You can connect unlimited Intercom Workspaces
  • You are limited to 50,000 session messages per month
  • You are limited to 100 message templates (after 24-hours) per month
  • You can apply for up to 20 pre-approved templates (for more talk to us).
  • Requires a prepaid 6 or 12 month subscription

If your business is not approved by WhatsApp you'll be refunded in full. No questions asked 👍 

  1. After 50,000 session messages / month, each additional 1,000 messages cost 8$
  2. After 100 message templates / month, each additional 500 messages costs 50$ 

For example,

If you have one WhatsApp number, then it will cost you 349$ per month
If you have two WhatsApp numbers, then it will cost you 349$ + 249$ = 598$ per month

Octopods Proactive Messaging

This is an add-on that costs 69$, and is now included free of charge with any WhatsApp Business API subscription.

It allows you to send an SMS or WhatsApp message from within the Intercom Inbox to any user with a phone number, even if the user has not previously contacted you through those channels.

If you have an Octopods WhatsApp subscription, proactive messaging will be enabled for your SMS channels, too. No additional purchase is necessary.

Conditions

  1. You can subscribe to all three plans if you need to.
  2. We charge 8$ per month for every extra 1,000 messages beyond your first 2,000 (for Omnichannel) or 50,000 (for WhatsApp) messages per month limit.

What is the difference between a message and a conversation?

A message is a single text, image, or any other content type that is sent to or from Intercom.

A conversation is a grouping for many messages between a user or many users and a teammate or many teammates.

We count messages that are sent in either direction, from a channel to Intercom, or from Intercom to a channel.
