Our easy-to-use, customizable ticketing widget automatically creates an embeddable purchase flow for every show that includes an embeddable calendar or list view of all events populated with live data in real time. With dynamic data, you'll be able to drive patron urgency to purchase when inventory is low.
Embedding the OTS widget in your GoDaddy page lets you:
Streamline ticket bookings or event discovery—users can view and reserve performances directly on your site.
Enhance user experience—visitors stay on your brand’s site while engaging with your event calendar.
Boost conversions—in-line access typically results in higher engagement and ticket sales.
👟Walk Through
Access the widget configuration from your dashboard.
Whitelist your Domain URL by typing in the full URL address. Then add a brief description if needed. Domain whitelist allows you to restrict which URLs your ticket widget can be displayed on. This helps you maintain security control over your widget and make sure they are showing up only on the sites you want them to be shown. You can whitelist multiple domains by repeating the same process.
For GoDaddy websites you will need to whitelist your domain and the domain of the GoDaddy preview link.
Whitelisting:
Whitelist the GoDaddy preview link
If you find that you can't see the entire widget on the GoDaddy preview link - hit publish and check to see if the widget appears on the published version of your website
After whitelisting our domains, following the GoDaddy documentation here and complete these steps:
Go to your GoDaddy product page.
Scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your website to open your site.
Select Edit Website or Edit Site to open your website builder.
Go to the page and location you want to add your custom code, and add a section.
Search for the HTML section and select Add.
Paste the widget code you copied from the OTS Dashboard into the Custom Code field.
After completing these steps you should see your widget appear in the preview on the left side of your browser.
Click the publish to make the page live for your patrons to see.
🎓 Recap
This article provides step‑by‑step instructions for adding the On The Stage ticket widget to a GoDaddy-built website. It starts with whitelisting both your site’s domain and GoDaddy’s temporary preview link in the Widget Configuration dashboard. Then, via GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing builder, you add a Custom HTML section where you paste in the widget code snippet. Finally, after previewing in the editor, you publish the changes to make the widget live and accessible to patrons 🎉.
🚀 Best Practices for Adding the Widget to GoDaddy
🛡️ Whitelist both domains
Be sure to include your live site domain and GoDaddy’s preview URL in the Widget Configuration screen—otherwise, the widget won’t load in the editor or live site .🧱 Use the Custom HTML section appropriately
Navigate to Websites + Marketing → Edit Site, then insert the Custom HTML element on the desired page and paste the full widget code snippet exactly as provided.👀 Preview before publishing
Check the widget in GoDaddy’s preview mode first—it may appear incomplete there but should render fully once the site is published.🚀 Publish promptly for patrons
After confirming the widget appears correctly, publish your site so ticket buyers can access it live on your site.
