Accessing Analytics

  1. Click Analytics in the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. The main Analytics page displays charts, metrics, and tables summarizing your onboarding sessions.

Key Analytics Features

Sessions Over Time

  • Graphical Overview:
View the total number of sessions and messages over a chosen timeframe. Spikes in activity may correlate with marketing campaigns or product releases.

  • Date Range Filtering:
Adjust the timeframe to focus on specific periods. Compare performance before and after implementing changes, like updating steps or adding AI integrations.

Summary Metrics

  • Average Completion Rate:
Shows the percentage of onboarding steps completed across all sessions. A high completion rate suggests users easily move through your onboarding flow, while a low rate may indicate complexity or unclear instructions.

  • Total Sessions:
Displays how many sessions have been created in the selected timeframe, helping you gauge the popularity or reach of your onboarding.

  • Active Sessions:
The number of sessions currently in progress. Monitoring this helps understand how many users are actively moving through your onboarding at any given time.

Session Details Table

  • Individual Session Records:
A table lists each onboarding session’s name, progress, and timestamps.

  • Progress Tracking:
Quickly see how far along each user is. Identify which steps users tend to get stuck on to make targeted improvements.

  • Session Management:
Use the action icons to view more details, edit settings, or remove sessions if needed.

Using Analytics to Improve Onboarding

  1. Identify Drop-Off Points:
Check where completion rates are low and sessions stall. Simplify these steps or provide additional guidance.

  2. Optimize Timing and Resources:
If you notice peak activity at certain times, consider adjusting support or offering additional resources during those periods.

  3. Measure the Impact of Changes:
After updating steps, adding integrations, or changing messaging, revisit the Analytics page to see if completion rates and user engagement improve.

Next Steps

  • Refine Your Onboarding Steps:
Return to the Editor and adjust steps based on your analytics findings.

  • Test Different Approaches:
Experiment with variations of content, integrations, or instructions, and track their impact.

  • Review Regularly:
Make it a habit to check Analytics periodically to continuously refine and enhance your onboarding experience.
