What is Notice to Proceed (NTP)?
Notice to Proceed (NTP) is the official authorization issued by the bank that allows the installer to begin work on a solar project.
When is NTP issued?
NTP is issued after the loan has been booked and the bank has completed its review of the loan application and solar contract. At this stage, the bank has confirmed the customer meets the lending criteria and the project has been approved.
What does NTP mean?
NTP serves as the green light for the installer to begin the project, including permitting, ordering equipment, and scheduling installation.
Important:
For residential solar loans, the 6-month no-payment period begins from the NTP date, not from when the system is installed or completed.
