Site settings: preferences, CTA links and analytics

The settings that control how your website behaves — review, blog publishing, contact forms and SMS consent.

Which editor is this for? This guide covers the new Site Editor. You are in the right place if your toolbar has a Media button and your assistant is called Ellie. If it does not, you are on the Site Tuner — see the Site Tuner guides instead.

The gear icon in the toolbar opens Settings — preferences, CTA links and analytics for your site. These control how your website behaves, as distinct from the facts about your business, which live under the round button in the bottom-left corner.

Settings has three tabs: Preferences, CTA and Analytics.

Preferences

Setting

Default

What it does

Auto-approve refresh

Disabled

When disabled, a site refresh must be reviewed by you before it goes live. Leave it off if you want the final say on every update.

Auto-publish blog posts

Enabled

When enabled, blog posts awaiting review are published automatically once the review deadline is reached. During review you can adjust the content and approve it yourself.

Require address on contact form

Disabled

When disabled, the address field on your contact forms is optional. Turn it on if you need a service address before you can quote.

Two of these deserve a deliberate decision

Auto-approve refresh decides whether updates reach your customers without you seeing them first. Auto-publish blog posts decides the same for blog content. Both are conveniences, and both remove a check. Choose them on purpose rather than leaving them at whatever they happen to be.

SMS compliance tier

This controls the consent checkboxes shown on all of your site's contact forms. Choose the tier that matches your SMS carrier requirements.

If you are unsure which tier applies to you, ask support before changing it. The consent wording on your forms is what keeps your messaging compliant.

CTA

The CTA tab holds the call-to-action links used across your site — where your main buttons send visitors.

Analytics

The Analytics tab is where your site's analytics configuration lives, so you can see how visitors are finding and using your pages.
