This multi-year accessibility plan outlines OneLocal’s strategy to prevent and remove barriers for persons with disabilities and to address the current and future requirements of the AODA in order that OneLocal may fulfill its commitments as outlined in the OneLocal Accessibility Policy.
Information and communications
OneLocal is committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. We will consult with people with disabilities to determine their information and communication needs.
OneLocal will continue to take the following steps to ensure all new websites and content on our websites conforms with WCAG 2.0, Level AA:
Review new content and ensure it is up to date with WCAG 2.0., Level AA
Make any amendments as necessary
OneLocal will take future steps to ensure our mobile app and dashboard conform to WCAG 2.0, Level AA.

OneLocal will take the following steps to make sure all publicly available information is made accessible upon request:
Upon request, provide publicly available information in different ways (ex: Large print, read aloud etc.)
Training
OneLocal will provide training to employees and other staff members on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of employees and other staff members.
OneLocal will take the following steps to ensure employees are provided with the necessary training:
Post our Accessibility Policy and training guide on our company intranet
Ensure all current employees and new employees have received and reviewed the Accessibility Policy and training guide
Make ourselves available to answer questions from employees about our accessibility policies
Employment
OneLocal is committed to fair and accessible employment practices.
OneLocal will accommodate people with disabilities during the recruitment and assessment processes upon request, working with the candidate to determine appropriate steps.
OneLocal will develop and put in place individual accommodation plans and return-to-work plans for employees that have been absent due to a disability.
OneLocal will take the following step to prevent and remove other accessibility barriers identified:
Provide an open forum for reporting any accessibility barriers and needed accommodation.
OneLocal will take future steps to provide individualized workplace emergency response information to employees who have a disability if the disability is such that the individualized information is necessary and the employer is aware of the need for accommodation due to the employee’s disability.
Public Space
Upon a return to office space, OneLocal will take the steps to ensure that physical space meets all requirements.
