How do I connect a domain via CNAME with HostEurope?

Step 1: Call up Onepage domain settings

Go to Settings → Domain settings

Step 2: Add domain

Please add your subdomain without www.
For example: offer.yoursite.com

Then click on Next step.

⚠️Important: Most domain providers do not allow you to connect the main domain without a subdomain (such as “offer”) via CNAME.

If you want to use your domain without a subdomain, we recommend selecting the A-Record method.

Step 3: Copy the correct values

Here you have an overview of the required values. Please copy these.

Step 4: Register with HostEurope

Open HostEurope, log in and go to My Account under your profile. Then go to Product Admin → Domain Services → Domain-Administration.

Step 5: Open DNS settings

Under “Domain-Administration”, select Edit Nameserver / DNS entries and then click on Edit for the desired domain.

Step 6: Set and save entry

Please set the entry as follows:

Typ: CNAME
Hostname: e.g. offer
Points to: whitelabel.onepage.io
TTL: 1 Hour (or keep the default value)

and then click on Add new and Save.

⚠️Important: The connection of the subdomain can take a few hours (up to 48 hours in rare cases). It is therefore possible that the domain is not immediately accessible.
