SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation, the optimisation of search results in the organic Google-Ranking, and you can adjust certain aspects of it right here in Onepage.

The organic ranking consists of the results of a search that aren’t influenced by paid campaigns, or paid ads, but by other criteria only.

As previously mentioned you can change certain aspects of it like for instance the meta title and description, keywords, and allow the indexing of your site.

Step 1: Open SEO settings

Log in to your project and go to the page for which you want to edit the SEO settings. Click on "Settings" at the bottom left and then go to "SEO settings".

Step 2: Add SEO parameters

Here you can add the SEO parameters, namely: meta title, meta description, share image and keywords.

Step 3: Check indexing status

To ensure that your site can be safely indexed by Google and other search engines, please also make sure that indexing is not deactivated in page and project settings.

📌 Please note: You can use this free tool to check whether your site has been approved for indexing.

Step 4: Save and update

Please be sure to save the changes and click on "Update".

📌 Please note: Onepage does not determine what information is displayed in the Google search. The information entered in Onepage is passed on to the search engine and Google decides independently how it is displayed.

Add heading tags (H1, H2, H3...)

Heading tags (H1, H2, etc.) are HTML elements that are used to structure headings in a web document. They characterise the hierarchy of content, with H1 being the most important (main heading) and H6 the least important heading.

By default, no H tags are set in Onepage. There is an option to add them manually in the headings.

Step 1: Add a header

Step 2: Select a heading tag

Add Alt texts

Alt texts (alternative texts) are descriptive texts that are used in the HTML code of images. They are used to explain the content or purpose of an image, especially for users with visual impairments or if the image cannot be loaded. Alt texts also improve search engine optimisation (SEO).

Please click on your image to open the settings. Then click on the lightning bolt symbol.

Page indexing

It can take up to 6 weeks for the page to be indexed by search engines. At Onepage, we have no influence on this process, nor does any other company. This time period corresponds to the standards according to which Google and other providers work. Immediate visibility in the search engines can only be ensured through paid advertising (Paid Ads).

You have the option of adding your site directly to Google and triggering indexing manually. You can find Google's instructions below:

📌 Please note: Manually initiated indexing can also take 2–3 days.
