How can I upsell better?

How can you get customers to spend more? With the following smart tips you ensure better upselling of your products, resulting in more sales.

Tip 1: Make sure the more expensive option is at the bottom of the section (the option at the bottom of the section is the automatically selected option for customers, this only applies to variations).

As you can see in this example, the more expensive option is at the bottom. In the Kiosk it will default to this option. You can choose the order with the arrows.

Tip 2: Try to use Addons or Product recommendations for all products within the different categories (see: “Drinks with it?”). Not sure when to use a variation, addon or product section? Click here for the explanation.

Make sure you have a logical recommendation that fits the product. For example “fries” with the product recommendation “Snack to go with it?” where you offer different snacks.

Tip 3: Make sure that the best-selling products are listed under "Popular" to draw more attention to them.

In the image above you can see that the middle product is marked with a blue star. By clicking on an asterisk it turns blue and this product is placed in the popular category. Go to the price list to get an overview of all products.

Tip 4: Use image with addons.

By using images with addons, you make what the customer adds to his product more tangible. By making an addition visual, the customer is more inclined to choose the relevant addition.

Tip 5: Make use of "Upgrades".


By using upgrades for a separate product, you immediately give the customer the option when clicking on the product to choose the separate product or an upgrade (think: menus). Read here how to add upgrades.
