Table View

In this article, you will learn how to use the Table View in the Onfleet dashboard.

The Table view displays your tasks as rows in a flexible table, with sorting, searching, column customization, and bulk task actions. It is built for fast, efficient dispatching, especially for high task volume operations.

To open it, click the Table tab on the left side of the Onfleet dashboard.

What's new

The Table view has a refreshed, modern design and is significantly faster, especially for organizations with large task volumes.

Improvement

What it means for you

Faster loading

Tasks load as you scroll instead of all at once, so the table is ready to use right away.

Faster search and sorting

Search and sorting are processed by Onfleet's servers rather than your browser, so results stay quick at any volume.

Expanded search

Every field in the table is searchable, including driver name, route name, and custom fields.

New Actions menu

Bulk actions are grouped in a single Actions drop-down at the top of the table.

Column resizing

In addition to reordering and showing or hiding columns, you can now resize them.

Filter and Search tasks

Filters

Dashboard filter settings, found at the bottom of the screen, determine which tasks appear in the Table view, the same way they do in the Map view.

Search

The Search bar is now located on the left, just below the Table View header.

Type any text to find matching tasks or recipients.

Search covers every field in the table, including:

  • Driver name

  • Route name

  • Custom fields

Only tasks with a field matching your text are shown. To see all tasks again, clear the Search bar.

Note: Task metadata is not searchable within the Onfleet dashboard.

Customize Columns

You are able to change the column order in the Table view by clicking on the column header and dragging it into a new position. Once you have set the order for your columns, it will be saved for future dashboard sessions.

You can also resize columns by clicking and dragging the edge of the colum header to make it narrower or wider.

Your column settings are saved for future dashboard sessions.

Note: The ID column cannot be reordered. The ID, Assigned to, Destination, Status, and Task created columns cannot be removed.

Sort tasks

Click a column header to sort tasks by that column. Tasks are sorted by the column's data type: alphabetically, numerically, or chronologically. Click the header again to switch between ascending and descending order.

View and Edit tasks

Click a task's ID to open its full details, including the task timeline, route, metadata, and any fields not shown in the table.

To edit the task, click the edit button at the bottom left of the task details, the same way you would in the Map view.

Bulk Task Actions

Select one or more tasks, then open the Actions drop-down at the top of the screen. You can apply an action to up to 500 tasks at once.

Note: When selecting tasks for bulk actions, ensure you scroll through the entire task list to reveal all tasks. This ensures no tasks are missed during the selection process.

The bulk actions you can take are:

Route Optimization

Select the tasks to optimize, choose Optimize from the Actions drop-down, and follow the prompts.

Change Assignment

Select the tasks, then choose Change Assignment. Pick an option (auto-assign, unassign, connected organization, team, or driver) and confirm. The new assignment appears on the tasks right away.

For example, you can use column filters to narrow down tasks by a specific field value (e.g., Quantity or Delivery Type), select the filtered tasks, and then use the Change Assignment option to assign them to a driver.

Change Completion Time

Select the tasks, then choose Change Completion Time. Enter a date (MM/DD/YYYY) and time (HH:MM am/pm) for Complete After and Complete Before, then confirm.

Delete Tasks

Select the tasks, choose Delete, and confirm.

Note: Deleted tasks cannot be restored.
