Many older adults experience loneliness in later life. There are a number of wonderful charities and organisations that help those who are experiencing loneliness, by offering them the opportunity to receive letters/cards from people (sometimes across the world)

Here is some guidance on how to get an event set up:

Step 1: Find a charity/organisation you'd like to work with

We have some recommendations here, but if you know of an organisation e.g. local care home that could benefit from this that's great!

  • Letters Against Isolation (Website here)

  • Love Your Elders (Website here)

Step 2: Contact the charity/organisation to let them know you're hosting an event

They might have some useful assets to share or recommendations on what they're most in need of. It's also great to let them know so they can expect a wonderful delivery of cards/letters!

If you get stuck and need some help please contact us.

Step 3: Complete this survey so we can get the mission booked in

This way anyone taking part can get matched up, collect their hero points and plant trees.

We can also help to provide assets before the event to get everyone excited.
