Create custom forms using jmc's Form Designer

Create letters, notices and other student information forms using jmc's Form Designer.

Creating customized letters that include all of the information you need to convey can be a tiresome task. jmc's Form Designer is here to help you do the heavy lifting by creating professional-looking letters and forms that utilize the data stored in jmc Office! This means you no longer need to hand enter student names, grades, dates, etc. into a form letter. Simply create a form including placeholders for the information needed to be included and store that letter for use year after year!

To begin, creating a custom form log in to jmc office and go to Form Designer > Student Info Forms.

Step One: Click the “New Form” button to begin creating your new letter.

Helpful Tip: Want to use an existing form? Select the form to use from the "Form" drop-down list.

Step Two: Select a blank form to begin fresh or an existing form to use as a template in the "Select Form template" drop-down list.

Step Three: Enter or edit the name of the form in the "Enter Form Name" field.

Step Four: Click the “Save” button to accept the form name or click "Cancel" to discard your changes.

Step Five: Click and drag form items from the left-hand side list to add them to the form.

A few helpful tips

  • If you'd like to edit the enclosed text double-click on a "Text" form item.

  • If you'd like to undo changes made to the form click the "Undo" button.

Step Six: Right-click a form item to open the formatting box and add a little pizzazz to your report card form by changing the item's font style, size, and even the result box size.

Step Seven: Click the "Image Library" link under "Quick Links" to upload images from your computer to add to the form.

Helpful Tip: Want to view and add descriptions to existing forms to better organize your form designer? Click the "From Descriptions" link under "Quick Link" and click the "Edit" button to a form name to enter a description to the form. Click the "Update" button to save the changes or the "Cancel" button to discard. Click the "Close" button when finished.

Step Eight: Select the "Letter" or "Legal" radio button to indicate the size of the paper for the form to print on.

A few fun facts

  • Click the "+" button to zoom in on the form.

  • Click the "-" button to zoom out on the form.

  • Click the blue "i" to view shortcut keys.

Step Nine: Click the "Save" button to save your report card form.
