Need to know who is on the football team? How many students are in the chess club? How to email all of the students in the Jazz band? When activities directors and office professionals use jmc's activities module to manage activities rosters all these requests can be fulfilled with just a few clicks!
Once activities have been created it's time to populate activity rosters with students. Activities directors and office professionals will be able to see all of the students involved in activities, keep track of who is eligible, list special commendations for students, and include a student's activity history on transcripts. If that weren't enough users will be able to send communication by activity once rosters are entered.
To begin entering student activity rosters, head to Activities > Edit Activity Rosters
Step One: Select an activity from the "Available Activities" list box to add students to the roster for a specific activity.
Step Two: Click the "Import Previous Year's Roster" button to load all active students that were on last year's activity roster into the current year's activity roster.
Step Three (optional): Specify the grade in the "Grade" drop-down list to narrow the list of available students from which to choose.
Step Four (optional): Specify the gender in the "Gender" drop-down list to narrow the list of available students from which to choose.
Step Five: Select a student's name to add them to the activity roster.
Helpful Tip: To select multiple students to add, hold down the Ctrl key (Windows) / Command key (Mac) while clicking a student. Deselect a student by holding down the Ctrl key (Windows) / Command key (Mac) while clicking a student.
Step Six: Click the "Add Student(s)" button to complete the process of adding the selected students to the activity roster.
Step Seven: Click the "Edit" link next to a student's name to mark the student as (in)eligible for the activity, to add commendations, or to add a comment.
A few helpful tips
Students that are added to the roster are marked "Is Eligible" by default. To mark a student ineligible, remove the checkmark from the "Is Eligible" checkbox.
Not seeing the commendations you are looking for? Head to Activities > Edit Special Commendations to create them and then head to Activities > Activities/Commendations to associate them with an activity.
Step Eight: Click the "Update" link to save your edits or the "Cancel" link to discard your changes.
Step Nine: Click the "Delete" link next to a student's name to remove the student from the activity roster.
Step Ten: Click the "Print" button to print the activity roster or the "Export" button to export the activity roster to a CSV file.
