Easily merge duplicate contact records in jmc Office using the "Merge Contacts" page to keep your site organized. Simply locate the duplicate records and click the "Merge" button to combine them into one, preserving student associations, phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact information. Keep your contact list clean and organized by saying goodbye to duplicates and hello to simplicity!
To begin merging duplicate contacts, start in jmc office and navigate to Attendance > Contacts > Merge Contacts
Step One: Select the main contact from the "Find Main Contact" drop-down list to identify the record you want to keep.
Helpful Tip: Choose the duplicate contact record with the most accurate and complete information as the main contact to guarantee a thorough and accurate merger.
Step Two: Select the contact to be merged into the main record from the "Find Possible Duplicate" drop-down list to eliminate the duplicate from your database.
Step Three: Click the "Merge" button to combine the data from the duplicate record with the main record.
Helpful Tip: If the main and duplicate records contain the same contact information in the same field, the main record’s information will be retained, and the duplicate record’s information will be discarded.
Step Four: Click the "OK" button in the dialog to complete the merging of the two contacts and district-wide student associations, or click the "Cancel" button to return to the "Merge Contacts" page.
