The "Student Data" page in jmc Office is your central hub for all student demographic information including a student's name, grade, gender, contacts, state reportable information and more. Whether the data was originally collected through New Family Enrollment, Online Registration, or other pages in jmc including the mass change fields tool, it can be accessed and edited right from one convenient location as needed for each individual student!

Log in to jmc Office at the building level and head to the "View Student Data" page to access and edit student demographic information.

Step One: Select the student to be edited by entering the name of the student in the "Find" field.

Helpful Tip: Narrow the range of available students by selecting the appropriate option from the "Grade" drop-down list and quickly navigate to the next or previous student in the selected range by clicking the right or left arrow next to the find field.

Step Two: Enter the student's preferred name in the Last, First, Middle and Suffix field to edit the student's name as it should appear in jmc Office, jmc Family and jmc Student.

Helpful Tip: If a student's preferred name, suffix or gender is different from the information on their birth certificate, enter legal information on the "Sensitive" tab of the "View Student Data" page.

Step Three: Select the student's gender, grade, advisor and building from the appropriate drop-down lists to edit the remainder of the students demographic information.

Step Four: Click the "Save" button to update all changes to a student's basic demographic information.

Step Five: Click the following tabs to edit the associated information:

  • General: edit a variety of student information including active and state reporting status along with student portal username/password and more

  • Bus: edit a student's bus information including driver name, pick up location, time and more

  • Comments: add internal comments associated with the student or add comments that are viewable in teacher gradebook

  • Confidential: add confidential or private internal comments associated with the student that are only visible to office staff

  • Custom: view or edit responses for custom field questions created on the "Define Custom Fields" link on the jmc Family > Online Registration > Setup > Configuration Options page

  • Various state reporting tabs: the Digital Equity, Enrollment, Entry, LIEP, State Rpt, Race/Ethnicity, Sensitive and Title I/III tabs contain information used for state reporting purposes

  • Photo: add a photo of the student to help identify on transcripts or in jmc Teacher

Step Six: Click the "Save"button to update any information added to the tabs.
