Keep students informed by enabling them to receive voice and text messages from the school in jmc Office. Students can receive essential school communications, such as weather and emergency updates, general school information, and more. This reinforces communication between the school and families, empowering students with the information they need to plan accordingly. Simply indicate the type of communication each student should receive and the preferred method of delivery, and you're all set!

To edit student messaging options go to View Student Data in jmc Office and click the "General" tab.

Step One: Select a student by entering their name in the "Find" field to adjust messaging settings for that student.

Step Two: Enter or edit the phone number in the "Student Cell Phone" field to make the phone number available for voice or text messaging.

Step Three: Right-click the cell phone icon next to the “Student Cell Phone” field to view the types of messages students can receive.

Step Four: Place a checkmark in the "SMS (Text Message)" checkbox to set the student's phone number as a recipient for text messages.

Step Five: Place a checkmark in the "Emergency/Weather Related", "Student/Lunch Related", and "General School Information" checkboxes to indicate each type of message to be sent to the student's cell number.

Fun Fact: The student's cell number will receive voice messages for any message type indicated but will not receive text messages unless the 'SMS (Text Message)' box is also checked.

Step Six: Click the "Save" button to update messaging settings for the student.
