The jmc Message Center allows you to create and send the same message to your contacts through email, text, and phone calls.

The Message Center in jmc Office is home to all of your external messaging needs including the ability to send emails, text messages or phone calls to a variety of contact groups in your school's site. Choose from a wide variety of contact groups and select students and/or the appropriate contact to receive your message. Then send emails, text messages, phone calls or a combination with just a few clicks in the jmc Message Center.

Log in to jmc Office and head to Message Center > Send Messages to begin sending individual emails, texts, or phone calls.

Step One: Select a radio button from the "Select" box to filter which student contacts to send your message to. Then fill out the appropriate fields highlighted below.

  • Sequential: enter a range of student IDs in the "From" and "To" fields.

  • Random: select one or more students by entering their name or student ID in the "Find" drop-down list.

  • By Grade: enter a grade level range in the "From" and "To" drop-down lists and select a gender using the "Gender" drop-down list.

  • Advisor: enter a range of advisor IDs in the "From" and "To" fields.

  • Course: select one or more courses by entering the course name or teacher name in the "Available Courses" drop-down list.

  • Activity: select one or more activities by selecting the activity name in the "Activities" box.

  • Bus Route #: select a bus route number from the "Route Bus #" drop-down list.

  • Random Contact: select one or more contacts by entering their name in the "Find" drop-down list.

  • Tag: select a student tag from the "Tag" drop-down list.

Helpful Tip: To include all community members or members of a specific group, place a checkmark in the "Include Community Members" checkbox and select the appropriate radio button.

Step Two: Select the "Email", "Text", "Email and Text" or "Email, Text, and Phone" radio button from the "Message Type" box to identify the type of message you'd like to send.

Step Three: Place a checkmark in the appropriate checkbox to identify who should receive your message.

  • Contacts: all primary and secondary contacts

  • Primary Contacts Only: primary contacts only

  • Students: student cell numbers

Helpful Tip: Select both "Primary Contact Only" and "Students" if you'd like the information to go to both families and students.

Step Four: Click the "Send Now" or "Schedule Time" radio button to select when to send your message.

Helpful Tip: Select when you'd like your message to be sent by clicking the "Send Now" radio button for immediate delivery or the "Schedule Time" radio button for future delivery. If you selected "Schedule Time" to send your message in the future enter the send date and time in the appropriate fields or simply click the calendar or clock icon.

Step Five: Click the "OK" button to begin creating your message.

Fun Fact: After clicking the "Ok" button, double-check your message recipients by clicking the contact records found and student records found numbers.

Step Six: Depending upon your message type fill out the appropriate fields highlighted below.

  • Email: customize your message by entering a reply-to address, Cc or Bcc email addresses, subject, message, and even attachments using the formatting tools provided in the appropriate fields.

  • Text Message: enter your message in the "Text Message" box, and jmc will seamlessly deliver the message to recipients or provide a link to the full message if it exceeds the character limit, ensuring a cohesive and uninterrupted communication experience.

  • Email and Text or Email, Text, and Phone: enter a reply-to address, subject, and message in the appropriate fields.

Step Seven: Click the "Send" button to send your message.

Helpful Tip: Monitor the status of your outgoing message by heading to Message Center > Message Status.

Fun Fact: Click the "Reset" button to easily create another message.
