Grant families access to the jmc Family portal by assigning passwords individually, in bulk or allowing families to set their own password.

Do you need to quickly assign passwords to jmc families, giving them access to the Family portal? Once a primary contact is created and linked to a student, office professionals have flexible tools at their fingertips for creating and sharing login information for families, giving them access to the world of information in the jmc Family portal. Assign credentials on a case-by-case basis, assign and share passwords in bulk for all of your families at once or allow families to manage their own passwords to open the lines of communication through the jmc Family portal.

Assign Passwords Individually from Edit Contacts

On the "Edit Contacts" page, you have the flexibility to add new contacts to your jmc database or update existing contact information, including usernames and passwords. By default, the page sets the contact's last name as the username for simplicity. From there, you can easily edit a contact's username or password, or add a new password for a contact individually.

  • Password field: the "Password" field on the "Edit Contacts" page provides a space for assigning a unique password to a family contact for accessing the jmc Family portal

Assign Passwords in Bulk in Administrator Options

The "Set random student and parent passwords" feature on the "Administrator Options" page in jmc Office streamlines password management for groups of students and families. It enables you to initialize usernames and assign random passwords to students and families who require them with just a few clicks.

  • Initialize Student Usernames and Passwords: assign usernames and passwords to students without them

  • Randomize Student Passwords: reset passwords for all students

  • Initialize Parent Passwords: assign passwords to primary contacts without them

  • Randomize Parent Passwords: reset passwords for all primary contacts

Notify Parents Using Student Lists

Student Lists in jmc enable you to create customized exports using various student data items, allowing you to generate batch labels with usernames and passwords for easy communication to students and families. This feature streamlines the process, saving you time and effort in distributing login credentials.

  • Report Content: select the fields "Prim Cont Last Name," "Prim Cont First Name," "Prim Username," and "Prim Password" to include login information for families on labels

  • Save Report: save the report for future access

  • Create Labels: use the "Create Labels" button to format the login information for easy printing on mailing labels, which can be attached to welcome letters or informational packets for families

jmc Families Manage Their Own Passwords

Whether it's their initial login or the need to regain access, jmc families can easily reset or change their jmc Family password. This user-friendly feature empowers families to take control of their password and portal access, reducing the need to contact the office for assistance. To begin setting or resetting a password, families can simply visit the jmc Family portal.

  • Forgot your password?: the "Forgot your password" link can be used by families to establish a new jmc Family password via email address

  • Forgot your username?: the "Forgot your username" link allows families to recover their username through their email to begin accessing the jmc Family portal
