How To: Clone an Event

Cloning an event is a quick and easy way to create a new event with the same settings as a previous one, without requiring any approval from the OnTrack Team.

Updated over 5 months ago

The Clone function allows users to copy the info and settings from a previous event for a quicker start. The Event Location, Incident Module Setup configuration, CAD Map (with Incident Zones) and Workforce are cloned.

Note: This will NOT bring the Incidents over from the previous event.

How To:

Once you're logged into OnTrack and on the Events List page, look for the 'Clone Event' button in the top-right of your screen.

Once you've clicked the 'Clone Event' button, select the event you'd like to clone from. After selecting an event, an additional field will appear to rename the new event, along with options to toggle the event as a demo and add precise start and end times.

If you select 'Clone', the window will close, and the newly cloned event will appear in your events list.

Clone and Edit

If you select 'Clone and Edit', an additional window will appear, allowing you to add additional details, such as:

  • Event Website

  • Description

  • Genre

  • Location

  • Attendance

  • CAD Upload

    • Please allow up to 48 hours post-upload for the CAD map to appear within your event

Clicking 'Clone Event' at the bottom will close the popup, and the newly created event will appear in your event list.
