Setting up your event!

Whether it was an Event Request or Cloned from a previous event, getting your event ready is as simple as a few clicks!

Event Request

Once your Event Request is approved by the OnTrack team, there are a few things you need to check before your event is ready.

  1. Incident Module Setup

    1. Turn On Incident Types

      1. New Events have their incident types turned OFF by default. Blue indicates ON, while white indicates OFF. You can turn them on individually or select ALL to activate the ones you need for this event.

    2. Turn on Sources (optional)

      1. Similar to turning on incident types, you can turn sources on individually or select ALL. Additionally, you have a multi-select feature and the ability to add new sources.

    3. Turn on Alerts (optional)

    4. Division Lock | Past Event Data Access


  2. WorkForce

    1. Turn ON Departments / Divisions

      1. New Department / Divisions can be easily created directly within WorkForce

      2. Existing Department / Divisions can be turned on from the same buttons, simply checking what you want on.

    2. Link / Unlink Staff

    3. Add Staff

  3. Incident Zones

    1. Incident Zones are locations within your event. With GPS accuracy, coupled with CAD map overlay, finding your way on scene has never been easier.

Cloned Event

Cloned Events retain the settings from the original event. If the settings are perfect, no further action is needed. However, it's always a good idea to review the above steps before the event begins.
