Load-based running programs

View and follow your load-based running program via your OnTracx professional

If your physiotherapist, coach, or other healthcare professional uses OnTracx PRO, they can create a personalized load-based running program for you.

Once a program has been assigned, you can view it directly in the OnTracx app and web dashboard, and (if connected) sync planned sessions to Garmin Connect.

⚠️ Running programs cannot be created by runners themselves.

Program generation is exclusively available to professionals using the OnTracx PRO platform. If you would like a personalized running program, you can contact the OnTracx team to find an OnTracx professional in your area.

Access Your Running Program

Once your professional has created a program, it will automatically become available in your OnTracx account.

To access your program just open the OnTracx app or web dashboard and your upcoming training sessions will appear automatically.

The dashboard displays:

  • Upcoming planned sessions

  • Program progression

  • Previous sessions

  • Key workout information

View Session Details

Click on any planned session to view its details.

For each session, you can consult:

  • Planned load

  • Distance

  • Duration

  • Workout structure

This information helps you understand exactly what is expected during the workout.

View Your Program Progression

The program overview allows you to see how your training progresses over time.

You can:

  • View upcoming training weeks

  • Review previous weeks

  • Follow the gradual progression prescribed by your professional

This gives you a clear overview of where you are within the program and what sessions are coming next.

Sync Your Program to Garmin Connect

If you use a Garmin watch, you can sync planned sessions directly to Garmin Connect.

Step 1 - Connect your Garmin account

  1. Open the OnTracx app.

  2. Navigate to Profile (top left).

  3. Select Garmin Integration.

  4. Connect your Garmin account.

Step 2 - Synchronize your workouts

Once connected, planned sessions are automatically synchronized to Garmin Connect. The sync status is visible within the platform

Step 3 - Sync your Garmin watch

Open Garmin Connect and synchronize your watch as usual.

Your upcoming OnTracx workout will now be available directly on your Garmin device.

Program Updates

If your professional updates your training plan, the changes will automatically appear in the app. This ensures you always have access to the latest version of your program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I create my own running program?

No. Running program generation is only available to professionals using OnTracx PRO.

Can I edit a training plan myself?

No. Only the professional who created the program can make changes.

Do I need a Garmin watch?

No. You can always view and follow your program directly in the OnTracx app and web dashboard.

I don't have an OnTracx professional. What should I do?
