Contact Tables are used to create filtered views of your contacts based on different options such as what the last name starts with, contact roles, lead sources, and more. Let's take a look at how to create a Contact Table.

Creating a New Contact Table

Once you have entered your contacts either manually, through an import, or from intake forms, go to your Contacts page so you can create a new Contact Table.

On the right side of the page, you will see the Contact Table View that lists your contacts. In the upper left corner of this section is a green button that says Contacts. Click on this and select Create New Table.

After that, you'll enter the name of the Contact Table. Make sure the name relates to what the Table is about, that way it will be easier to tell which one you want to view. Once you have the name, click on Submit.

Managing Table Users

If you want to share table access with any of your team members, click on Table Users over in the Contact Filter Section. You have the option to share managing access to the user you want to share it with:

  • Editor - If you tick this box, the user you share the table with can change the filters on the table.

  • Segments - The user you share the table with will have access to segments on the shared table.

  • Export - The user you share the table with can export the table as a CSV file.

You can click on Close once you are done.

IMPORTANT:

If you give other users access to edit your shared table, let them know that any change they make to the table is going to affect the table in general.

Now that you have the Contact Table created, you can use the filter and table column options on the left side to display what you want to see for that specific Table.

If you need to view all of the contacts again, find the green button that has the name of the Contact Table you are on. Click on this and select Contacts from the list.

IMPORTANT:

If you are on the Contacts view, make sure you don't have any filters applied if you want to see all of the contacts. You always want to create any new Table first and then apply the filters.
