Date Template

Using a date template provides consistency across transactions. These are easily tracked and updated. The date template can be added to the Property template.

All Categories/ Category

Adding and using Category can help you organize your templates in such a way that it makes the template visually easier to locate.

  • You can delete the category that you created by clicking “Manage Categories”

  • Once the category has been created, it cannot be edited.

Sort Templates

It allows you to organize your templates according to your preference and this can be done by clicking the Sort Templates button. The right-side panel will open and you can drag and drop the date templates into the desired order.

Add New

This button will allow you to create a new date template.

Search Bar and Renaming a Template

This search box will allow you to easily find the template you’re looking for, especially if you have many date templates saved in the system. Hover your mouse over the template name and just simply type in the new name and hit the check button to save the changes.

Edit and Options

The “Edit” button will allow you to modify your date template. The “Options” are for cloning and deleting a date template.

Step 5:

Fill in the boxes provided on the screen.

  • Days - the number of days between the parent date and the child (contingent) date.

  • Type - choose how the system calculates the number of days (business days, calendar days, same days as, etc.) you have selected above.

  • When - choose if the system counts forward or backward (before or after).

  • Number Field - this is your fallback field (if applicable).

  • Date Field Options - choose what specific transaction date the system will base this contingency on.

  • Count Days Using... - choose how the system will calculate the time frame.

  • Weekend Roll - the date is moved forward or backward in time (e.g. if the EM due date will fall on Sunday, the date is rolled to the next business day or the previous business day.)

  • Federal Holiday Roll - just like the weekend roll, the date is rolled the next or previous business/ calendar day.

  • Skip Federal Holidays - the federal holiday will either be counted or skipped on the transaction date.

For example, 15 calendar days after the Contract Acceptance date. I will use the weekend rollback and federal holiday rollback so it will not fall on a weekend or federal holiday. I also applied a number field for HOA if the due date will change using several days.
