Whether you've just started your onboarding process or need a refresher, this article will cover all of the basics for adding a new team member.
Onboarding Users: Invite Your Team Members
There are a number of people involved in a transaction, so who really needs to be added to Open To Close? You only want to send invites to team members who will be managing transactions. Other people such as agents, brokers, buyers, sellers, inspectors, etc. will be added later on and get their own free portal.
To start inviting team members, enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address for the user you want to invite, and click on Send Invite. Based on the plan you are on, each additional team member will incur a monthly fee.
The team member will get an email from Open To Close with their login credentials including their username and password. They can change these in their profile once they have completed the onboarding steps.
You also have the option to choose permissions for the team members you add. If you want each team member to see different parts of Open To Close, you can click on Set Permissions to go through the permissions for that user.
If you're not sure what permissions you want the team member to have, you can always set it up later by going to Settings (gear icon) and then Organization & Users.
It might be that you don't have any other team members to add at this time, in which case, you can click on the Finished, Next > button to move onto the next screen. This article goes over your next step: Add Teams & Assign Roles.
Existing Users: Invite Your Team Members
If you're past the onboarding stage and need to add a new team member, you can do so by going to Settings (gear icon), and selecting Organization & Users. This option allows you to choose the type of user it is and what their username and password will be.
Once the team member is added, you will see their name appear on the right side. From there, you can set permissions on what they have access to in their Open To Close account.
