How To Delete a Field Group | Open to Close

If you no longer need a Field Group, you can delete it by going to the hammer icon and clicking on Field Editor.

Image shows the hammer icon on the left navigation menu, directly above the last option (gear icon). Field Editor is the second option in the hammer icon list.

You will want to make sure that the Field Group is empty before you can delete it. If it still has Field Sections and Fields in it, you will not be able to delete it.

Select the Field Group you want to delete and click on Edit.

This will open a new window on the right side where you can click on the trash icon in the lower right corner.

You will be prompted to type in the word DELETE before you can finalize this action.

Very Important:

There is not a way to undo this action. Once you delete the Field Group, it's gone, and we do not have a way to recover it. Be sure you are deleting the correct group.
