What is the OPENLANE CR Score?
The OPENLANE CR Score is a 5-point scale to represent a vehicle’s condition. Every non-commercial car on the OPENLANE US Marketplace is scored from 0-5 on 3 individual metrics (Mechanical, Cosmetic, Vehicle History Report). Those 3 individual metrics are composed of dozens of findings within each category and are ultimately given a weighted average to create the score.

How does the OPENLANE CR Score help sellers?
The scoring logic is consistent nationwide, meaning sellers do not need to worry about their units being unfairly represented.
The score helps buyers evaluate vehicles faster, meaning they will be able to view more units per visit which helps our sellers receive more views per unit.
During our testing of showing scores to a select group of buyers over the last year, our data shows that vehicles with a CR Score received more pageviews & were added to buyer watchlists more often, regardless of what the score value is.
What is the Unified Condition Score Filter?
The Condition Score filter allows dealers to filter across AutoGrade and OPENLANE CR Scores. The filter allows dealers to identify cars that are scored within their desired range. That means if a vehicle is a “Commercial” unit, the filter will be applied to the listing’s AutoGrade, but if it is a non-Commercial unit, we will apply the filter to the listings OPENLANE CR Score.
