What is Showcase in Absolute sale at floor?
It’s a new way to drive more bids on your vehicles and get competitively priced cars off your lot by allowing you to launch your vehicle into Absolute sale, even without any bids.
How does it work?
Our algorithm will find vehicles under $10k that are priced-to-sell and have been live on the marketplace for at least 2 days without any bids.
If your vehicle is selected, you’ll see a button labeled Showcase in Absolute sale at floor on your vehicle listing.
When you click the button, the vehicle is shown in Absolute sale and the starting bid becomes your floor price.
What happens when a bid is received?
Once the first bid is placed, Absolute sale is automatically triggered and your car will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the day.
What happens if no bids are received?
If no bids are received, you can then relaunch the vehicle back into the OPENLANE marketplace.
What are the benefits of showcasing in Absolute sale?
By showcasing your vehicle in Absolute sale, you will increase visibility on this competitively priced car. Each listing includes a special Absolute sale badge, signaling to buyers you’re serious about selling. Additionally, you maintain full control of the sale, with the ability to set the floor price before showcasing the vehicle.
Does it work?
Yes! In the pilot project we conducted, vehicles showcased in Absolute sale without bids saw a significant increase in conversion compared to other vehicles also priced-to-sell that were not showcased in Absolute sale. Plus, when in Absolute sale, 35% of vehicles get 10 or more additional offers which leads to better sale outcomes.
