🔐 Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Keep your account secure by setting up 2FA

Written by Chris Parks

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is required for all Openstage accounts. It protects your artist account against unauthorized access, adds a security layer beyond your password, and helps keep your fan data safe.

Initial Setup

When you first create your Openstage account, you are prompted to set up 2FA. Two methods are available:

  • Authenticator app - a code generated by an authenticator app on your mobile device

  • SMS - a code sent to the phone number you provide

🟡 Please note: Set up both methods so you always have a backup. If one method is unavailable, the other keeps you from being locked out.

Authenticator app

This method requires an external authenticator app such as Google Authenticator. Follow the on-screen instructions in the 2FA setup to add Openstage to your authenticator app.

Logging in with an authenticator app

After entering your email address and password, enter the six-digit code shown in your authenticator app. Correctly entering the code grants access to your account.

SMS

This method sends a verification code to the phone number provided during 2FA setup.

Logging in with SMS

After entering your email address and password, a code is sent to your registered phone number. Correctly entering the code grants access to your account.

🟡 Please note: The phone number registered for SMS 2FA auto-populates the Send Test SMS field in SMS broadcasts. If no number has been added, the field will be blank and a number can be entered manually. The number must include a country code.

Update your 2FA settings

  1. Click your email address in the top right of the screen.

  2. Select Profile.

  3. Update your phone number or reconfigure your authenticator app from here.
