🎵 Connect your Music Catalog

Add music to your catalog on Openstage to drop them in fans' DSP libraries

Written by Chris Parks

The Music Catalog is where you add the releases you want to share with fans. Releases must be added here before you can deliver them to fans via pre-save broadcasts or Stream Pages.

Navigate to Settings > Music Catalog.

🟡 Please note: Add your artist links for Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer on the right-hand side of the Music Catalog before adding any catalog items.

Add a released item

  1. Click New Catalog Item.

  2. Select Yes when asked whether the item has been released.

Note: Use either a UPC or ISRC code — not both.

3. Paste in the Spotify track, album, or podcast URL - or enter the UPC or ISRC code - and click Search.

4. Select your release from the results.

5. Review the DSP status for each platform - a green tick means the release was found, a red cross means it was not found. If the release is not available on a DSP, the system will not find it there.

6. Click Finish. The release appears in your Music Catalog.

Add an unreleased item

  1. Click New Catalog Item.

  2. Select No when asked whether the item has been released.

  3. Enter the UPC or ISRC code and select the release date.

  4. Click Finish. The release outline appears in your Music Catalog.

The closer the release date, the more likely the system finds the release immediately. Not all DSPs receive music at the same time — you may need to return and click Refresh on the item as the release date approaches. Some releases do not appear until the final 24 hours before release.

🟡 Please note: Check with your distributor how the URL for your release will be formatted before setting up a pre-save broadcast. The URL will contain either "track" or "album" - this must match what you upload to Openstage regardless of the release type. If your single has a URL containing "album", upload it as an album in the Music Catalog.

See Set up a pre-save broadcast for more detail.
