By the end of this section, you will know how to create and tag User Filters, as well as how to assign them.
To view your user filters, go to the left navigation bar and select Admin, then Filters.
To the right of the navigation bar, you will see Location Filters and User filters listed, select User Filters.
To create a new User Filter then click the red button in the top right-hand corner that says “+ New Filter”.
From there you can name the filter and add the appropriate tags
As a helpful hint, it is easiest to manage user filters if they have the same name as the location.
After you have named the filter, you can then start adding the tags to it
When tagging the filter, it is easiest to work your way from the store location up to all locations
Unlike with users and locations, you can only see select tags that are already created, you cannot create new ones, so make sure that the tags you want to use already exist.
You can only have one tag per box, so to add additional tags all you have to do is select the black plus sign to then add another tag
From there, you can choose to have it so it is tagged with the selected tag, or not tagged with it
The "Or Else" option on the dropdown means one or the other
The "And Also" option on the dropdown means that they have to be tagged with both - Usually you will tag users with the level they are at and not all of the tags so you wouldn’t want to use this
Remember that you have to explicitly assign the User Filter to the Location by selecting it from the Location Page.
If you don't assign the User Filter to the Location it Work.
Once you click Create Filter, the filter results will be calculated in the background. This can take a couple of seconds or minutes based on how busy the server is at the time you run the filter.
Come back and check the results of the filter to make sure you are seeing who you expect to see in the results.
You can read the filters from left to right to try to understand them better.
EX: An OpsAnalitica User tagged with Chesterfield or else tagged with West or else tagged with All Locations.
Each user will be assigned one of the tags within the user filters, and that ensures that they will be able to see that location
