There are only a couple of reasons why a User would not be able to see what they expect to see on the platform. You can usually check all three within a minute and get them sorted out. You will need the Administrator Role to perform this troubleshooting.
Common Issues where a User can't see something they expect to see:
Role-based issues can be easily diagnosed when the end user doesn't see the buttons on the navigation bar.
Ex: The user can't see the reports button or doesn't have access to conduct checklists.
The quick fix is to navigate to the User Account and confirm the roles they have.
If you end up adjusting their roles, log them out from the User screen before you click Save. This will force them to log back in and they will get their new roles on their account.
Tag Agreement Issues can be easily diagnosed when the end user doesn't see a specific location or the data for a specific location.
All checklists have to be conducted at a location, so if you can't see that location in the My Checklists Location Drop Down, you don't have access to that location and you will not be able to see their data.
Make sure you are in the right org, as locations only show up for selection in the My Checklists Location drop-down in their organization.
Tag agreement is when the User's Tags match the tags on the Location and the Location's User Filter. In addition, the Location's User Filter has to be configured correctly and applied to the Location.
Pro Tips:
If an end user cannot see a completed checklist, make sure you can find it first as an Admin. There is nothing more frustrating than troubleshooting a User, that is correct, only to find out the checklist actually wasn't submitted.
If you don't see the expected checklist in the Completed Folder for that location, Open the checklist as that location and see if it is still in progress. (You will see it on a pop-up asking if you want to join)
It's very common for a location user to think that they submitted a checklist when they haven't and then they can't find the report because it doesn't exist yet.
I suggest opening up 3 browser tabs and navigating to the User Account on one, open the Location the User can't see on another, and open the location's User Filter on the third tab. This makes it easy to click through and check quickly vs. trying to remember what you saw, since these have to be exact matches.
