Why?
Rewards is a feature that visualizing a progress bar on the cart, showing how close customer is to the rewards.
In the process, each reward represent a minimum amount that the customer need to buy to achieve and it is currently set to fix with an amount in $USD
If your store is selling internationally, there will be some big differences between how much they need to purchase in different currencies.
E.g. $200 USD can be $269 CAD and ¥29,600 JPY
Meaning that a fixed $250 USD rewards can easily be surpassed with Japanese Yen.
How?
Set up local currency
Turn on Shopify Payment method
Accessing the Settings in Shopify admin, navigating to Payments section, clicking on the Payment method that you want to provide.
Turn on Local Currencies for International Market
Navigate to Markets, click on Preference. Then activate the Local currencies for All market
Enable Country/Region Selector (Currency Converter Selector)
Go to Customize of Themes in the Online Store. Click on Header, toggle on "Enable country/region selector", hit Save
Turn on Currency Converter in app
Navigate to the Rewards module of the app, tick on "Enable Currency converter on Rewards Bar", hit Save
Now, you just need to activate the app on your theme and ENJOY!!! 😄
