Short answer
If you paid a bill that was also paid by direct debit, your account may be in credit. When that happens, it's easy to get a refund or transfer your credit to another Origin account.
How you go about that depends on the type of account you have. See Ask for a refund or transfer a credit for instructions.
Important notes
A payment outside direct debit can take around three business days to get to us. If there's no credit on your account, wait for three days and check it again.
If your account had other amounts outstanding, the extra payment you made will go towards your existing debt
