The application process for a new unmetered supply (UMS) depends on where you’re located. We can help you apply.
For your application, it’ll be helpful if you already know who your distributor is. You may also be asked:
Details about your UMS device
To provide government work certifications (if they apply)
Some information about your electrician
If you’re applying on behalf of someone else, you’ll need to submit their authorisation to do so. NSW customers can do this using our Request for new energy account form.
Where to go to apply:
NSW customers in Essential Energy and Endeavour Energy networks: simply fill out our form for unmetered electricity supply connections, we’ll take care of the rest!
QLD customers in the Energex network: Head to the Energex website, login or create an account to apply online.
VIC customers in Citipower and Powercor networks: Jump to the eConnect portal make an account or login to submit an online application.
SA and ACT customers – Origin aren’t the local energy retailer in your area. To apply for an unmetered supply, get in touch with your local retailer.
