Summary

If you have LPG bottles or get LPG refills by hose, once a year you may get a bill for the LPG equipment fee.

More info

What the LPG equipment fee is for

The LPG equipment fee contributes to the cost of purchasing, testing, maintaining and replacing the LPG bottles used to supply you with LPG. The fee is in place to make sure the LPG bottles you receive meet safety standards that apply to the gas industry.

Your equipment fee is based on the number and size of the Origin LPG cylinders at your property – it’s not based on your overall gas consumption. The fee is not refundable.

How we bill

If you have an open LPG account and you order LPG bottles or refills by hose, we bill the LPG equipment fee annually and in advance. On your bill, you’ll see the charge ‘LPG Equip Fee’ which typically shows up on page 2.

Other names for the equipment fee

The LPG equipment fee might also be called an annual fee, facility fee, service charge or rental fee.
