Where does the patch go?
On the side of your ribcage, underneath your underarm. Either side works.
Apply it to clean, dry skin with no lotion or oil.
My patch will not activate
Activate your patch in the app right before you go to sleep, not earlier in the day and not days ahead. A patch that is activated and then left for a few days may not work.
Make sure you are signed in to your own Orion account, and that NFC is turned on. NFC is required and there is no workaround without it.
If activation fails after a few tries, stop and contact Orion Support. We will determine whether the patch is faulty.
My patch will not scan in the morning
Scanning uses NFC. Your camera is not involved.
Open the Orion app and go to the scanning page before you start
Hold the patch underneath your phone, near the top of the device, where the NFC antenna usually sits
Keep it about half an inch to an inch away, and hold both the patch and your phone still
On Android, antenna placement varies. Try the top, middle, and bottom of your phone in turn
Check that NFC is on in your phone settings
If it still will not scan, close the app, reopen it, and try once more.
The QR code on the envelope takes you to the app. That is not the same as scanning the patch.
The patch came off overnight
Your data may be incomplete. Contact Orion Support and we will replace it so you can retake the test on a normal night.
Do I mail the patch back?
No. If a replacement or refund is approved, you keep the original patch.
Can I reuse the patch?
No. It is single use and cannot be moved to another person.
How does my data reach you?
The patch records through the night on its own. It is not connected to Wi-Fi and is not transmitting while you sleep. Scanning it in the morning is what uploads your data. You do not need to email us anything or photograph your results.
Your test also includes a free consultation with an Orion Sleep Advisor. You can book it at app.orionsleep.com/meetings.
Contact Orion Support with your order number, your phone model, whether NFC is on, and what the app showed when it failed.
