The UK Government issued guidance that as of 6th April 2022, employers could no longer accept Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) as valid proof of a right to work (RTW).

If you are a non-UK national and have a BRP, you are now required to provide us with a share code to prove your right to work.

How do I get a share code?

By following the link below, you can generate a share code (a 9-letter code) and send it across to us, along with your date of birth.

https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work

We then upload this to the Government site, which provides us with a document which confirms your right to work, along with the expiry date (if applicable) and any potential restrictions, for instance if you have a Tier 4 Visa.

What do I do if I have a Tier 4 Visa?

If you are on a Tier 4 Visa, you are also required to send proof of your student status and term dates. You can do this via the Chat function on the app!

This needs to be official communication (a letter or email) from the university with your name on, confirming your student status, as well as your course-specific term dates.

Please see the attached template for what we need.
