How to park an electric city bike?
When parking an electric city bike, there are six steps to follow:
1. Check that the cross next to the lock is not showing a red light before placing the bike in it. If it shows a red light, it is a defective lock and will not register the bike.
2. If there is no light next to the lock, you can use it.
3. Insert the nose of the bike firmly into the lock and wait a few seconds; it can take up to 10 seconds.
4. The electric bikes are heavy, and it can be challenging to position the nose correctly in the lock. A tip is to lift the bike by the handlebars while holding the bike between your legs.
5. If the bike still does not lock, try lifting the rear wheel.
6. Always check the app for confirmation that the bike has been registered as returned.
Where can you park?
At any Oslo City Bike station, but not necessarily in every lock. We know that some stations and locks can be difficult to park the bike in. If you can't lift the bike into a lock, try one that looks taller. If there are stations or locks that are difficult to park in, we appreciate it if you report it via this form.
Can you pause the ride during the trip?
No, not yet. Always park the bike in a station and check for confirmation of delivery in the app.
How far can you ride?

You can see the battery percentage in the app. The bikes will be locked to the station when the battery is below a certain percentage.
What happens if I lose the bike while riding?
The electric city bikes have a GPS that regularly sends signals. If your bike gets lost while you are riding, you must immediately contact the customer service center. If it is not possible to find the bicycle, and it has been missing for more than 14 days, you will receive an invoice with a compensation claim of 15,000 NOK for the electric bicycle.
