CNS Readiness (Central Nervous System Activation)

What It Measures

CNS Readiness quantifies the functional state of your brain and central nervous system through DC potential (direct current) EEG measurements. This reflects your mental energy reserves, cognitive capacity, and hormonal regulation readiness.

Key Physiological Indicators

Cortical Activation Level: Degree of brain arousal and alertness

DC-Potential Amplitude: Electrical baseline shifts indicating metabolic brain activity

Neural Fatigue State: CNS exhaustion or freshness

Cognitive Readiness: Capacity for mental tasks, decision-making, and focus

Mental Energy Reserves: Emotional regulation and stress coping capabilities

Hormonal Regulation: CNS influences reproductive hormone balance and ovulation

Measurement Source

Technology: DC-potential EEG (Omega measurement)

Duration: 2-5 minute resting measurement

Position: Sitting or lying at rest

Analysis: Stabilization level in millivolts (mV) and derived CNS grade.

What Affects CNS Readiness?

  • Decreases with: Mental stress, demanding work, poor sleep quality, emotional stress, screen time before bed, caffeine overuse, chronic worry.

  • Increases with: Quality sleep (especially deep sleep), meditation, relaxation practices, nature exposure, stress-reducing activities, adequate downtime

Special Note

CNS fatigue often persists longer than cardiovascular fatigue. You might feel physically recovered but still have depleted mental reserves, which is why monitoring both is critical for fertility optimization. Chronic CNS stress can disrupt the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, affecting ovulation and conception
