To help organizations better manage team communication, Full Admins, Schedulers, and Commissioners with permission have control over whether or not to send push notifications when enabling visibility for Games or Training Schedules on the mobile app and Team Pages. This update applies when turning ON permissions for both Team Staff and Players & Parents within the Schedules product, ensuring team members are informed only when you intend them to be. Follow the steps below to enable push notifications for games or trainings via the Schedules product:
1. From the navigation, select Programs, then choose your program and season. Next, select Scheduling.
2. Click the edit button at the season or grouping levels, then select Permissions.
3. When configuring the following permissions at the season or grouping level, a required selection to Send or Don’t Send push notifications will appear below the ON/OFF toggle for each:
Allow Team Staff to VIEW their Game Schedules
Allow Team Staff to VIEW their Training Schedules
Allow Players & Parents to VIEW their Game Schedules
Allow Players & Parents to VIEW their Training Schedules
4. If Send is selected for any of the four configurations, a push notification is sent to team members, alerting them that their game or training schedules are available to view.
Example of push notifications:
5. If Don’t Send is selected for any of the four configurations, no push notifications are sent to team members. Team members will still gain access to view schedules or trainings, just without a push notification alerting them of the visibility.
6. Once saved, the Send/ Don’t Send selection will be visible but uneditable (grayed out).
7. If you wish to reset the selection, then switch the configuration to OFF, and click Save on the dialog. Then, click back on the edit button at the season or grouping level and set the configuration back to ON and make your appropriate selection.
