ViCoverage (powered by Vertical Insure) Resources
Demosphere’s partnership with Vertical Insure comes at no additional cost to your organization. If members choose to purchase registration insurance, premiums are processed by Vertical Insure. Once an insurance policy has been purchased, users are advised to contact Vertical Insure with any questions about their coverage. More resources can be found below:
Activation
To enable ViCoverage during your program’s registration process, please contact your Demosphere Customer Success Manager.
How it Works
During the Checkout step in public registration (for clients with the feature enabled), registrants will be presented with policy options after selecting Pay in Full or Pay in Installments.
Note: Policy options are dependent on the registrant's address.
Coverage details are presented depending on the option selected by the registrant. If multiple items exist in the order, details for the first item are expanded by default.
If ViCoverage is selected by the registrant, upon submitting the order, two separate charges are processed:
The registration fees are processed by Demosphere.
The insurance coverage is processed by Vertical Insure.
ViCoverage policy options are not presented under the following circumstances: During admin preview, during admin proxy registrations, if a registrant is applying for financial aid, or on orders with a balance of $0.00.
After Checkout
Once the registration has been completed, the Order Confirmation step will display the returned status from Vertical Insure, ensuring full transparency. This status will also appear in the confirmation email sent to the registrant and any copied admins.
Note: The ViCoverage payments will not be processed if the order payment fails. If the order payment passes, but the Vertical Insure payments fail (i.e., insufficient funds), the cardholder will get an email directly from Vertical Insure and can complete their policy directly with Vertical Insure.
Registrants are advised to contact Vertical Insure with any questions they may have about their policy.
