Moving from one season to the next is simple. Instead of starting from scratch, clone any past season to carry over the settings you need, saving you time and ensuring consistency across seasons
How to Clone a Season
Navigate to Programs > choose your program and season > Setup.
Click the Clone Season button.
Enter a name for your new season.
Select which program to add the new season to; you can clone into the same program or a different one.
Check off the specific settings you want to carry over, or select all.
Click Clone to create the new season.
The new season will be created with all your selected settings already in place.
What Can Be Cloned
You can clone all or just a subset of the following settings:
Season structure (groupings, levels, and teams)
Registration forms (player and volunteer)
Fees and discounts
Custom data fields
Eligibility settings
Waiver and confirmation messages
Team staff and volunteer settings
Financial aid settings
Printable documents and forms
Tip: Not sure which settings to include? Clone everything and then remove or adjust what you don't need. This will be much faster than adding settings back one by one.
What Does NOT Clone
The following must be set up manually for each new season:
Registration open and close dates - Including any grouping-level date overrides
Seasonal dates - Fee effective dates, eligibility date ranges, and season start/end dates
Invite lists - Team invitees are not carried over and must be rebuilt after tryouts or evaluations
Registrant data - Player and volunteer registrations are specific to the original season
After Cloning
Once your new season is created, review and update the following:
Set your registration open and close dates - Navigate to Setup to configure when registration opens and closes
Update fee dates and amounts - Review and adjust any date-based fees or discounts for the new season
Set eligibility dates - Update birthdate ranges or other eligibility criteria as needed
Review forms and settings - Confirm that cloned forms and settings still apply or make adjustments
Build your invite lists- If running an invite-only season, create new invite lists after your latest tryouts or evaluations
