Manually seeding teams within divisions for tournament or league schedule

Updated over 3 months ago

Please follow these steps to seed your teams within a division. Remember, the seeding must match the tie-pattern you're using for a division. If you have 8 teams in 2 flights then you must seed your teams A1, A2, A3, A4 and B1, B2, B3, B4. If you have 8 teams in one flight then you will sort them A1-A8.

  1. Go to Elements

  2. Click on Scheduling Administration

  3. Select your season (if applicable)

  4. Click on the age group or ALL (if applicable)

  5. Click on the # of teams under the column called TEAM SEEDING

  6. Flight each team using the drop-downs. If the tie-pattern you're using only calls for a single flight (or group) then you will seed your teams A1, A3, A3, A4, etc (it will always start with A). If you are using a tie-pattern that has multiple flights (ex: a 6 or 8 team tie-pattern with two flights) then you will use A and B flights. An example of seeding your teams would be A1, A2, A3 and B1, B3, B3. You can also assign the permit group by team or by division.

  7. Save your changes.
